     The ActiveWorlds program, developped by Activeworlds.Inc USA, is a combination of 3D instant chat, virtual world browser and real-time 3D construction using the latest technology as seen in RPG games. Fog, particules, action commands, lightning modes, easy-to-use terrain elevation for a natural landscape, move commands and object compatibility are just some of its features. Looks or impressions of a virtual world can be adjusted by backdrops or skyboxes. Animated avatars can be used for 3d chat, to chat with people from all over the world in this international 3D environment. To enhance the interactivity this environment offers, SDK developer kits are available for several programming languages. The SDK can be used for the creation of plug-ins suitable for every imaginable task, including games and RPG games. The Active Worlds browser also offers an ergonomic construction interface which will guide and help you during the construction of your virtual environment. Different camera modes are available in order to view objects or avatars under different angles.
You can either use the about 15000 3D objects, avatars, textures, animations and sounds available for free, or use your own creations to build your virtual online world.
Used textures in either .PNG, .GIF, .JPG formats with or without transparency.
